He also has extensive research experience, having been an investigator in several large nation-wide clinical trials for newly developed retinal treatments.

Before deciding to attend medical school, he started his professional career as a high school English teacher and truly enjoyed teaching his students.

Dr. Guglielmo shares, “My personal philosophy as a doctor; As a former high school teacher, I pride myself on my ability to explain things to patients in a way they can understand. It is important to me that every patient is involved in their care, from understanding the diagnosis to proceeding with the treatment. I will do everything I can to make sure their questions are answered, and they feel comfortable with the decisions we make together about their retinal condition.”
