For Dr. David Neely, serving people and patients in both third-world countries as well as the U.S.  is his life-long mission.  He has a deep-rooted passion to seek out and treat people who would never have access to specialized medical care like we have access to in the United States. After marrying his wife, Jill, who was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, they frequently visit her home country to provide medical services and surgeries free of charge to the underserved people of her hometown. Both Dr. Neely and his wife Jill Neely, who is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician, volunteer with an organization called “FOR Nicaraguan Health” that provides free medical services, procedures, and surgeries with the help of U.S. physicians and volunteers.

Dr. David Neely is proud to be joining Dr. Frank X. Venzara, III at Florida Retina Specialists and looks forward to continuing his life mission both on the Space Coast and in his home away from home of Managua, Nicaragua.  This won’t be the first time that Dr. Neely and Dr. Venzara have worked together; in years past they both performed eye surgery together at the National Center of Ophthalmology in Nicaragua on a mission trip that laid the foundation for this new opportunity.
